Alkaline Solutions

There are specialized ultrasonic degreasing solutions that contain active agents capable of breaking fat and oil bonds without being as aggressive as strong alkaline agents.

Tips for remove grease from molds:
- Temperature: The effectiveness of ultrasonic cleaning increases when the solution is heated to between 50°C and 60°C. Grease breaks down faster in a warm liquid.
- Duration: Normally, a 10 to 15 minute cleaning cycle is sufficient, but it will depend on the level of grease build-up in the moulds.
Each type of mold and type of grease may require a specific type of cleaner, so it is ideal to test on a small surface to make sure it does not affect the mold material. In addition, it is essential to rinse the molds well after cleaning and dry them completely to avoid any chemical residue.
