Ultrasonic cleaning solutions for RGP contact lens manufacturers
Our BR-LENS series machines are specially designed for RGP contact lens manufacturers, with the aim of optimizing the final stages of the manufacturing process. Until now, the removal of blocking wax and the final cleaning of the lenses was a time-consuming manual process that carried the risk of damaging the lenses.
With our exclusive ultrasonic technology for contact lens cleaning and deblocking, the process is fully automated, fast, and highly reliable, achieving up to a 100% success rate.
Ultrasonic cleaning works by immersion: the lenses are placed in a custom-designed holder and submerged in a cleaning solution. Once immersed, ultrasonic waves ensure a complete and uniform cleaning of the lenses.
After the process, the lenses are rinsed and/or dried according to each customer’s requirements.
The exclusive BRIO contact lens cleaning solution has been developed in collaboration with contact lens manufacturing experts and is based on the following three factors:
- The powerful micro-brushing effect produced by BRIO’s ultrasonic technology.
- The BRIO cleaning fluid. A solution composed of water and a small percentage of a chemical agent, specifically developed for the cleaning or deblocking of contact lenses. The product is adapted to the type of wax used by the customer, ensuring optimal results in all cases.
- The heating of the cleaning fluid. It must be maintained at a specific temperature to achieve maximum cleaning performance.

The PLC controller, robotic arm, and all electronic components enable the transport of lenses through the different stages and the automatic execution of the complete cleaning cycle. All functions and cleaning programs are easily managed via the touchscreen panel.
- Full control of the lens deblocking process. The bath temperature and immersion time are programmed and continuously controlled throughout the process. At the end of the cycle, a robotic arm automatically removes the parts from the cleaning tank. This ensures that the process is always consistent and fully controlled from start to finish.
