What is Titanium Anodizing?

Titanium anodizing is an electrochemical process that creates an oxide layer on the surface of the titanium. This process not only improves the material’s corrosion resistance but also gives it a variety of colors and greater hardness. Anodizing is achieved by immersing the titanium in an acid bath and applying an electric current.

The thickness of the oxide layer varies depending on the applied voltage, allowing a range of metallic colors to be obtained without the use of dyes, as the color comes from the interference of light on the oxide layer. In addition to the aesthetic enhancement, titanium anodizing increases the material’s durability, making it suitable for applications in the aerospace and medical industries, as well as in jewelry, implants, and high-end components.

Anodizing Stages

Anodizing stages include preparation, activation, anodizing, sealing, and drying. We also have the technology necessary for hard anodizing.
